Acetate Again

This is the other half of the acetate sheet I used in my earlier post. I backed it with this great DP after I remembered these cool brads. I pulled out some more of the Micheal's wedding flowers and colored them with Copics. They didn't look finished so in hunting thru my stash I found these star shaped rhinestones for the centers. They really look like they fit well don't they? I had bought some metallic threads along time ago at Joann's (don't ask me why since I don't sew, just thought they were cool). Any way after fighting to get them to wrap around the brads and glue them to the back of the flowers (which swing free by the way) I was done. Hope you like it.

Housecleaning

This card was the result of housecleaning. (I'll do anything to get out of dusting). Anyways, my cousins daughter is an artist and an art teacher and always on the lookout for supplies for her kids. I started thru all my paper to send to her, (came up with quite alot LOL) , and found this acetate that had been in the drawer for a long time. I decided to make a card. First I backed it with this DP, then colored some wedding flowers from Michaels with Copics and popped a sparkle in the center. Then from the same paper I used a Martha butterfly punch and stamped the happy birthday which I then cut out with a tag Nestie. After sponging a little blue around the edge of the tag I assembled the card. Hope you like it.
