Bovine Beauty

I wanted to join in on Karen's Doodles Challenge this week. It's White on White and I like that idea. When I went to pick an image to use I just had to pick this one, Bovine Beauty. The only place you can use color is on the image itself.

When I first saw this image on Karen's site all I could think of was Mae West's ' Come up and see me sometime' quote (not sure that's an accurate quote but you get my drift). I just couldn't think of something for the inside except 'Miss you', but I didn't want to do that this time around. I batted around several ideas and came up with this one. Inside it says " Why milk twice a day, what else?'

I think it could be a cute birthday card.

I used Michael's wedding flowers with pearls, some ribbon and CuttleBug embossed pieces.

Happy Father's Day Steve

I made this card for my nephew Steve, who is going to be a new Daddy come mid September.

I made this card for the Mommy to be so I thought the same image would be cute for Steve.

It is going to be so much fun watching Steve be a Dad.

I colored this image from Karen's Doodles with Copics. The DP is Bazzil Basics Swiss Dots and Lasting Impressions and the sentiment is computer generated. I just added the three brads and was done.

Mr. Fix It Get Well

This is my card for the Karen's Doodles challenge blog this week. I think this image is just the greatest. I chose to make a get well card for this challenge.

I used my Lasting Impressions paper again (one of these days I'm going to run out of it) and a screw head brad I found in my stash.

I colored with Copics and assembled my card. I found this an easy card to make because I had used this same image for another challenge and it all just fell into place.

Father's Day Oops

I decided to enter the fun over on the PCP Sketch Challenge group. It's being sponsored by Karen's Doodles (and P.S. she's having a sale until June 6th). Karen has a number of great men images and this is a new one. Mr. Fix It Car.

The challenge is to make a Father's Day card using the sketch assigned. By now you all know that sketches give me a great deal of angst (try working that word into your daily conversation). I fret over the sketches trying to make my brain wrap around them to make a great card. This sketch wasn't so bad, it allowed me to follow my own personal quest of using up supplies I have on hand. So once again I pulled out my Lasting Impressions paper (who knew I had so much of this stuff) and made my choices for the different layers. I then set out to color the image to co-ordinate with the paper.

I knew as soon as I saw this image that I wanted to make it a funny card. Can you just picture this guy thinking to himself "I'll change Dad's oil and he'll think that's a great idea", then he realizes just what a mess he's gotten himself into. (as a side note something similar actually happened to me and it wasn't pretty).

So I colored with Copics and then I went to find something extra to put on it and I found this screw head brad in my stash. I pulled out my Making Memories brad setting tools and made a lot of noise. After wrapping the twine around the first layer I put the rest of the card together. Since the brad was so thick I pop dotted the image layer and added the sentiment.

Happy Mother's Day Michelle

Karen's Doodles is having a Mom challenge and I decided to join in.

I wanted to make some Mother's day cards so this was perfect timing. My nephew Steve and his beautiful bride Michelle are expecting their first baby this September (poor Michelle going through the summer pregnant). I had to make her an expectant Mother's card and I thought this Peek A Boo boy would be just the right image ( they're expecting a boy).

When I printed the image I added the sentiment, thinking that the baby in her tummy would be happy to get out of there (as I'm sure come August and September Michelle will be anxious to see her feet again). Anyway, I colored with Copics and added the three brads in the corner. I decided to use some of the Lasing Impressions card stock I've had on hand forever for the base and matting. Karen's Doodles Challenge

Spent some time tonight cruising the web and found out about this challenge from my friend Sandy.

It's a challenge over at Karen's Doodles and since it is recipe challenge I decided to join in.

I quickly went through mu Doodle images and chose this one. I just love these Peek a Boo kids.

I chose the DP from the DCWV Citrus pack.

It has been such a gloomy, rainy day here I thought these cheerful colors would be fun.

I colored with Copics and border punched the edge with a new EK Success punch (I think it is called bumpy road). The ribbon is some I picked up on sale at Michael's a long time ago. I put some gems in the flower centers and in the corners and was done.

A Belated Birthday

I needed a belated Birthday card for friends of ours. Dick and Jeanne are married and have birthdays just a couple of days apart (and that was a week ago). Bruce reminded me to send cards but I didn't get around to it in time so here I am making up for it.

I remembered these darling images from Karen's Doodles "The Peek a Boo" kids and had this idea for a belated birthday card. It's not original, but I can't remember where I saw it and it was animal behinds anyway and I think these kids are way cuter.

So I put them together with Photoshop Elements 2 and added the sentiment. Then I colored them up and mounted them on several different colors of card stock to go with the DP (DCWV Glitter Sweet).

Ridin' Rod

My step-daughters special guy's birthday is tomorrow and when I saw this digi image "Cruisin" at Karen's Doodles, well it was just too perfect. Marianne loves elephants and Rod has a Harley (of course they call it a Hog hehe).

I printed this out on Cryogen white and colored with Copics. I used so many colors I lost track of them.

I edged the focal with YR04 then mounted it to a piece of Stick-It-Felt that I've had forever!!!

I then covered my card base with DP from DCWV's La Creme matstack.

Who Me???

I received this delightful digital image as a freebie a week or so ago from Karen's Doodles. I finally had some time to put together a card with it.

Doesn't he (or maybe a she??) look so innocent?

I fell in love with this guy (ok I have a male dog so that's why I tend to think he's a boy) as soon as I saw him.

I colored with Copics and cut him out with my new Nesties Labels Five.

I pulled scraps out for the card base and matting and I'm done.

I left the inside blank since I'm not sure what type of card this will be.

Could be an I'm Sorry, or even a thank you card.
