Love at First Touch

One of the sets I found in my cleaning up is a lovely set from Gina K Designs by Melanie Muenchinger called Hand In Hand. I couldn't find it on their web sight so I think it's no longer in production. The die is from Papertrey Ink. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Stately Flowers

Gina K has a series of stamp sets called Stately Flowers and if you have a Silhouette cutting system there are free cut files and frames for them.  This frame is from the 8th set and the flower is from the 5th set.  The stamp sets are really beautiful and the cut files make for a more interesting card. Fleece Navi-baa

I tried to combine a white wash technique with humor and like washing something red in with the whites I got pink sheep. A couple of years ago Gina K Designs came out with this set Fleece Navi-baa and it is just so cut I had to try it out. Well it sort of worked, pink sheep for Christmas??? A Wheelbarrow of Flowers

Both Gina K designs and Papertrey Ink put out small stamp sets that fill a niche. This wheelbarrow stamp is from Gina K and the sentiment may be hers or Papertrey Ink ( I can't find the stamp at the moment because I've been cleaning and everything is out of whack). Apple Blossom Time

Gina K Designs has a series of stamp sets called Stately Flowers, this is from #9 of the sets and it's Michigan's state flower so of course I had to use it. There are both a small and a large flower in the set and I got the idea to randomly stamp the small one as a background stamping off once with Memento London Fog but oops I forgot on one so I went to plan b and stamped 3 of the small ones to color and one of the large. Sail Away

I've been trying to use up supplies that I have on hand and this card is a result of a burst of card making I did the other day.  I had some card bases made up and I found a stash of die cuts from Gina K's Ship to Shore set.  I went looking for DP to use as water and hand cut the waves. Tipped Bowls

Happy Mother's Day

I missed posting a card on Mother's Day so belatedly here's one that I made. The DP is Gina K 'Watercolor Garden'. It is so pretty that I didn't want to cover up much of it, so I just did a Sentiment and stamped a small flower around it. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Color Pop

One of the techniques you see around the various card making blogs and in the magazines is a card designed with most of the stamping done in dark or neutral colors and then one item done in a bright color.  I tried that with this card using the Gina K With Love and Prayers mini stamp set from the Stamp TV kit Journey of the Heart.  The sentiment is from another of the mini stamp sets from the same kit, Little Branches.  I stamped the flower and branches using Memento brown and then I stamped a flower using two shades of orange for the petals and brown for the center, I then fussy cut it and adhered it over one of the brown flowers.  I added the sentiment over a thin strip of dark brown card stock.  Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Signs of Spring

We see3med to have skipped right over spring and gone back to fall, maybe we'll get another stab at summer but I'm really beginning to wonder.  We just changed over from flannel sheets to cotton and the temps dropped right back down to where I need a sweatshirt to be comfortable. I needed a taste of spring or summer so I decided to post this card using the Gina K set Signs of Spring set designed by Theresa Momber. Some More Embossed Cards

When I get on a roll I really roll.  I started making the cards with the white wash technique and while I was in the mood to powder emboss I made quite a few cards.  These are a few more of them, they are all Gina K.  The top card is an Iris, the second card is a Lady Slipper and the bottom is an Orange Blossom, all from the Stately Flowers 7 & 8 sets designed by Melanie Muenchinger. I'm going to the Beach

We are headed to Myrtle Beach for a few days and when I found this card that I made a few months ago and never posted I thought now was the time.  It's a Rosie Raodshow stamp the is one of her tickle your funny bone stamps (at least that is what I call them). Gina K's Country Roads by Theresa Momber

Gina K designer Theresa Momber has many wonderful stamp sets and Country Roads (see it here) is a favorite for many reasons. One of which is the cut files for the Silhouette that makes card making so much fun. I put together several cards using DP that I had in my stash (and since I haven't bought any DP in so long I have no idea who it's from) but it is all double sided so I could use both sides when making the cards.  Hope you like them and thanks for stopping by.

Fleece Navibaa

When I pulled out the Stamp TV kit for the Christmas cards from the previous post I found this Gina K set Fleece Navibaa ( another set I've had and not used yet) so I decided to get ahead of Christmas (that's a laugh) and make a few cards.  I had 7 red card bases sitting on my desk (remember the pledge to use up what I have sitting around) and decided to see if the white wash technique would work.  I'll let you be the judge.  I embossed the sheep, sentiment and lights in white (well except for the first one I did in clear, not sure how I'm going to handle that one, will do another post for it).  Then I white washed the bodies and colored in the lights with Martha Stewart glitter pens.  Hope you like them and thanks for stopping by.

Anniversary for Ann

I received a text from my sister Ann asking me for some anniversary cards, she specifically asked for these cards since she liked the birds.  The set is from a Gina K Stamp TV kit, the Bundle of Love stamp set ( I think it came out last February).  She asked for 3 cards and I didn't have that many so since I still had the set handy I quickly whipped out 4 cards (easier to make even numbers of cards and it gives me one for my stash). I used all items from the kit so it's all Gina K.  The one card with the sentiment on red card stock is because I smudged the sentiment and had to cover it up (my bad, always check your fingers for ink).  The bottom card has a red strip thru the center since the DP was two separate pieces left over from the other cards, always good not to waste DP. Hope you like them and thanks for stopping by.

Sympathy

When I sit down to make sympathy cards I try to make them with some interest and color.  I really think that even in the saddest times people need to have some color and when they receive a note from a friend it should be with an idea to pull them out of the sadness.  I hope these cards qualify.  Hope you like them and thanks for stopping by.
